In 1923 James E. Strates, a Greek immigrant, began his first show. Since his passing in 1959 his son E. James Strates took over the business and it is now the last traveling carnival train in the United States. Passed on through three generations of Strates men, this story portrays the carnival lifestyle and the thrills of the past as the family struggles to stay relevant in the era of technology.
